Laumann Winter 2005 Pictures

December 2004 and January, 2005.  Leila "Lashes" Laumann. Leila is past the three month mark and growing very fast. As you can see from the pictures, she's starting to show emotion and is becoming much more active.  Requiring more than just food and diaper changes now, she is really wanting our attention and love.  Daily walks to the beach and play-time in the bassinet are part of the daily routine as she is awake most of the day.  Thankfully, she's finally starting to sleep through the night, sometimes waking up as late as 6 or 7 am for her breakfast.

February 4, 2005.  Kayak Fished La Jolla for this 24-inch halibut on live mackerel off La Jolla Point in 95 feet of water.  This was my first entry for the year in the BigWatersEdge.com West Coast Whoppers kayak fishing tournament.

January 19 - 21st, 2005.   La Jolla and Bird Rock area reefs firing and relatively uncrowded.  I bodyboarded 4 big days this week in perfect conditions, enough to injure my shoulder in my old age.  On January 19th, Ron McAdams hits the reef at low-tide Big Rock .... and spent a week in the hospital.  Surfers and bodyboarders even in San Diego are talking about rivermouth sandbars, especially in Ventura, due to the 26 inches of rain since Christmas!

January 15, 2005.   Lynn and Vou return from vacationing in Greece. Here we are celebrating with a dinner at our local Mexican Restaurant, Su Casa.  Oh, and Larry ordered the only Margarita. Woo-hoo, let's party.

January 01, 2005.  New Years Day and Diana's Birthday at the Issa's in Los Angeles.  We got a new car, the Volvo XC90, and drove it up to L.A. on it's maiden voyage.  It's New Year's 2005, and Big Rock already had some good conditions with no crowd.

December 26, 2004.  Day after Christmas family party in Palos Verdes.  Also my sister Lori, and nephews Shawn and Chris came down to visit us in La Jolla.

December 25, 2004.  Christmas at the Issa's in Westchester. Excellent decor for the holidays and great food and Christmas cheer.

December 24, 2004.  Christmas Eve at The Spot in La Jolla with Lynn and Vou.  It was Packed!

December 19, 2004.  Volleyball at Mission Beach with Leena and Leila. At two months old, she just wanted to keep sleeping and didn't notice Daddy's heroic efforts on the court... yet...  Later we had dinner at home with Lynn and Vou including festive nibbles from the Gingerbread house for dessert.

December 18, 2004.  Glassy Blacks. Lucky for all those guys we were too lazy to walk down the cliff.  We managed to score a local reef break at 10-12'+ with maybe 10 guys out.  The walk down THAT cliff is only 3 minutes long instead of 15.  See January 19th pictures.

December 12, 2004.  A small fun day at the reef, Lynn, Ron, and Matuse (Mitch's Surf Shop) goof around and get some tubes.

December 10, 2004.  Another fine winter day at the reef.

December 6, 2004.  At a local La Jolla reef with a solid swell.  Epic conditions but very heavy, and cranking.  I had to go to work early, so I just shot some pictures.
